People work harder when they enjoy their work and feel that they have a vested interest in the company.  First-time customers will only become repeat customers through good and efficient service.  Keeping your employees and customers happy is necessary for any business to thrive.  Figuring out just how satisfied they are is often a daunting task.  One of the easiest ways to ensure that your organization scores well on satisfaction is through surveys.

Surveys provide a powerful tool in monitoring many aspects of an organization.  The most important aspects of any survey process are to develop a specific plan BEFORE the survey instrument is developed and to resolve to communicate the results, regardless of outcome.  To conduct an employee survey without an objective in mind may only initiate or accentuate a credibility gap between management and staff.

Surveys can serve a valuable function in identifying necessary change strategies, communication needs and perception assessment.  In order to maximize the effectiveness of this process as a strategic management tool, we recommend the following four-step process:

·        Research and Assessment – in this step we determine the exact purpose of the survey and the objectives for use of the data.

·        Development – we take special care to craft each of our survey instruments to the needs of the organization and will consider scope, time allocation, method of delivery and other factors in developing the right instrument.

·        Implementation – in this step, we will administer the survey and begin to collect the results.

·        Data Analysis and Reporting – we will compile and tabulate all the results into an easy to read report.  We will also present a detailed analysis of the results.
